WEYBURN, SK – Justen Maric made 41 stops, and Jordan Grill added a goal and an assist as Battlefords ended the Weyburn Red Wings’ unbeaten run at 14 games with a 4-3 North Stars victory on a busy Friday night.
The Nipawin Hawks rallied in the third period at Melfort’s Northern Lights Palace but fell 4-3 on Zayden Sadlemyer’s winner in the shootout. Nathan Claydon made 41 stops in the defeat.
In Humboldt, the Broncos notched two power-play goals and got 38 saves from Edouard Gauthier to take down the Melville Millionaires 3-1.
The Flin Flon Bombers continued their winning ways. Ryder Ringor’s two points led them to a 3-1 win over the Klippers in Kindersley.
Finally, the La Ronge Ice Wolves, with seven different players contributing multi-point outings, defeated the Estevan Bruins 10-1.
