YORKTON, SK – Gabriel Courchesne notched his league-leading sixth game-winner of the year with 1:34 remaining in regulation as the Yorkton Terriers outlasted the Kindersley Klippers 5-3 at the SaskTel Game of the Month Friday.
Five different Terriers found the back of the net on the night, while defenceman Gavin Bartha was the only Yorkton player with a multi-point contest.
Brett O’Halloran shone while making 32 stops for Kindersley in defeat.
In Flin Flon, the Bombers improved to 17-0 at home on the year through Reid Arberry and Connor Miller goals en route to a 2-1 win over the Estevan Bruins.
Charlie Tritt, who on the same day announced his commitment to NCAA Division I Lake Superior State University, made 27 stops in the victory.
Cole Hines and Kobe Sawyer both scored twice, and seven North Stars had multi-point nights as Battlefords held off a furious La Ronge rally to beat the Ice Wolves 7-6.
The Wolves scored five times in the third period after the North Stars entered the frame up 5-1.
In Weyburn, Will Munro scored his first career SJHL hat trick to help the Red Wings down the Humboldt Broncos 6-4.
Matthew Bradley made 44 stops in his first contest as a Humboldt Bronco, while Joey Rocha responded with 30 saves in net for the Red Wings.
Finally, in Warman, it was the Nipawin Hawks who, behind 21 stops from Colten Scott, blanked the Wolverines 6-0.
The Hawks went 3-for-9 on the power play in the contest, while Nipawin forward Konnor Watson notched his fourth goal in as many games.
