Two Notre Dame Hounds veterans are going to school together next year.
Davis Sato and Rocky Bird, two 2003 birth years who spent their entire three-year junior careers with the Hounds, have committed to Vancouver Island University of BC Intercollegiate Hockey League for next season.
Sato, 20, is rock solid two-way centreman, and posted 39 points in 108 games for Notre Dame between 2021 and 2024. He is a native of Richmond, B.C.
Bird, 20, jumped back and forth between forward and defence over his SJHL career, and added 23 points in 107 regular season contests. The Cochin, SK native featured in all five Hounds’ post-season games in 2022.
Both are incredible people, and outstanding teammates, and will be missed enormously around Wilcox.
