Klippers Captain Cam Shorrock Commits to Bryn Athyn College

By Kindersley Klippers

The Iron Horse Kindersley Klippers organization, together with the Shorrock family are pleased to announce that Captain Cam Shorrock has committed to continue his hockey and academic career at Bryn Athyn College for the 2019-20 season.

Bryn Athyn College is located in picturesque Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, approximately 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia and competes in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, an NCAA Division 3 program.

The 2018-19 season has seen Cam establish career highs with 11 goals and 17 assists in 55 games played with the increased leadership role that comes with wearing the C as an overage. Previous to his time with the Klippers Cam skated with the Nipawin Hawks, Camrose Kodiaks, and Lloydminster Bobcats on the heels of an exceptional midget career with the Calgary UFA Bisons.

When asked how the recruitment process with Bryn Athyn gained traction and why he chose the Lions, Cam mentioned, “…the coaching staff first talked to me at the SJHL Showcase in Warman, and has continued regularly since then.  A major reason I chose Bryn Athen is there is a real opportunity to play right away and make a difference.  They are pretty new to NCAA Div 3 so I like the challenge of going in and building a winning program and great culture.”

The Lions have made the right choice focusing on Cam as a key cog in their recruiting class as the 6’2”, 180 lb forward can play either the wing or up the middle and will contribute in all special team’s situations.

Cam indicates he will be working towards a Business Degree.

Join us in congratulating Cam on this important life decision and expressing gratitude for his contributions to the Klippers program.
