The Kindersley Jr. Klippers announced their first news of the offseason on Wednesday, sharing that 20-year-old forward Braydon Vandenbilche will be continuing his career at the post-secondary level with Concordia University.
Vandenbilche came to Kindersley at the end of the 2024-25 season where he played only six games but made an impression collecting six points. He translated that into a roster spot this season with the Klippers, and while his season was unfortunately cut short by an injury, “Vandy” was still able to put up a respectable 15 points in 27 games for the Klippers as they chased a playoff spot to end the season.
Based in Edmonton, Concordia University is a member of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference. The ACAC is a popular destination for SJHL players after their playing career, the Klippers sending multiple players last year like goaltender Cody Jaman and leading scorer Zakery Anderson each committing the University of Alberta-Augustana in Camrose.
Klipper fans will hope Vandenbilche’s signing is the first of several to come for the team’s graduating core.
