La Ronge Ice Wolves 25/26 Season Preview

The 2025-26 La Ronge Ice Wolves have three key advantages right away.

First, they have the remarkable coaching ability of Kevin Kaminski. Killer always builds a squad that is passionate and hard to play against; so whatever this squad, which seems likely to be on the very young side, looks like, it will play with tons of fire.

Second, they are moving into the JRMCC. The Jonas Roberts Memorial Community Centre on the reserve just south of Air Ronge is a gorgeous facility, and the buzz to see the Wolves play there is enormous. The new-rink energy is a real thing.

Finally, they’ll have Graham Brown. The 20-year-old goaltender from Victoria, BC, had a magnificent campaign a year ago and looks poised to take another step this year.

Let’s take a look at some key numbers from the last regular season for the Ice Wolves:

The likes of Grayden Perozni and Dayton Tailfeathers up front, and Owen Turner and Tyson Matthews on the back end will be looking to take a big step this year in the teal, and give the northern community that had a tough summer due to the fires something to cheer about.

SJHL Co-Director of Media Clark Munroe sat down with Head Coach and General Manager Kevin Kaminski in the SCSA Coaches’ Show ahead of the 25/26 season and got his thoughts on the upcoming year.
