The Melville Millionaires are pleased to announce that our C, Matt Kjemhus, has committed to the University of Regina to play for the Cougars this upcoming season.
Our organization couldn’t be more excited for “Jimmy” and know he will excel with this new endeavour. Matt was integral to our team the past three years both on and off the ice and helped change the culture and the mentality of our organization.
He brings an unmatched drive and desire to get better every day and is a warrior in every sense of the word. Off the ice Matt was the first to volunteer and help out with any event we had planned with the public. The Cougars are getting an outstanding young man with a great work ethic and loads of character.
During his three-year stay in Melville Matt played 140 games and scored 14 goals with 30 assists and racked up 363 PIMs mostly defending his teammates and wore an A for the team as a 19 year old and was a great C this past season helping the team navigate the turbulent season.
We wish “Jimmy” nothing but the best and he’s leaving the Mils in a much better spot that when he first came showing his loyalty and dedication to Melville and the Millionaires.
Congrats and good luck Matt!!
