North Stars snap epic Mustangs’ streak at 17

SASKATOON, SK – Seth Dragan scored twice, and Justen Maric made 41 stops as the Battlefords North Stars snapped the Melfort Mustangs 17-game win streak with a 3-2 victory Tuesday.

Melfort’s streak tied for the longest run of wins in the SJHL since the 2011-12 Humboldt Broncos.

Meanwhile, in Kindersley, the Notre Dame Hounds stopped their own three-game skid via a shootout winner from Marko Djordjevic.

Spencer Borsos made 38 stops in the Hounds’ 3-2 victory over the Klippers.
