SGEU MVP of the Month – Kian Bell, Battlefords North Stars

It was a monumental month for the North Stars Kian Bell. He started the month by netting three goals at the SJHL/MJHL Showcase and carried that momentum back to the Stars. In 8 games during the month of February, Bell found the back of the net 13 times, including a five goal performance against the Yorkton Terriers on February 21st. The 19-year-old forward is now up to 51 goals on the season which leads the league and is now at 91 points which moved him past teammate Holden Doell for the league lead.

Sasktel Goalie of the Month – Jared Picklyk, Humboldt Broncos

Since joining the Humboldt Broncos back in January, Jared Picklyk has been nothing short of superb in between the pipes for his new team. The 19-year-old Kelowna, B.C product went undefeated during the month of February and helped the Broncos pick up five wins. Picklyk was also busy, making 145 saves throughout those five games.

DirectWest Rookie of the Month – Alexi Sylvestre, Flin Flon Bombers

With the Flin Flon Bombers bit by the injury bug, rookie Alexi Sylvestre has stepped up his game to help the Bombers move into 2nd place in the SJHL standings. During the month of February, the 18-year-old found the back of the net 6 times and added 7 assists in 11 games played. Thanks to his big month, Sylvestre is now up to 20 goals and 20 assists on the year which is good for 2nd among rookies in the SJHL.

SuperU Defenceman of the Month – Tynan Ewert, Battlefords North Stars

Similar to his teammate Kian Bell, 20-year-old Defenceman Tynan Ewert had a big month for the Battlefords North Stars. Offensively, the Duncan B.C product found the back of the net once but added 10 assists in just 8 games played. He also led the way on the blue line for the Stars who locked up 1st place in the SJHL this past weekend. Ewert is now up to 7 goals and 44 assists on the season and is 1st in scoring among SJHL Defenceman with 51 points.
