CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Matt McNeil, Estevan Bruins

IBAS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:  Kendall Fransoo, Battlefords North Stars
1996 D Kendall Fransoo (North Battleford SK) hasn’t been known as a big offensive point producer despite being one of the league’s best rearguards in the last couple of seasons.  Nevertheless, Fransoo had a goal and three assists in three games this past week to raise his overall season line to 4-goals and 14-assists in 27-games.  He had a goal and an assist in a Tuesday win over Nipawin and then picked up two helpers in the offensive shootout against Estevan on Saturday.  Runner-up:  Eric Sinclair, Flin Flon.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:  Zac Robidoux, Flin Flon Bombers
1996 G Zac Robidoux (Winnipeg MB) was a perfect 2-and-0 this past week, although he wasn’t very busy in a 13-save shutout against Melville on Sunday.  He stopped 23-of-25 one night earlier against Humboldt to give him a .947 SPCT for the week.  He’s 6-2-and-2 with a 2.49-GAA and .913-SPCT (2 shutouts) on the year.  Runner-up:  Evan Plotnik, Melfort.

SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Hayden Guilderson, Estevan Bruins
1997 F Hayden Guilderson (Chilliwack BC) was a big part of Estevan’s offensive explosion this past week, especially on Friday when he had a goal and two assists in a win over Kindersley.  He also scored in a win over Humboldt on Thursday and set up a goal on Saturday against the North Stars.  He now has 6-goals and 11-assists in 27-games.
