PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

SJHL CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  Matt McNeil, Estevan
1996 F Matt McNeil (Spruce Grove AB) racked up 4-goals and 6-assists in just 4-games played last week, including a stellar 2-goal, 2-assist performance in a win over Yorkton on Tuesday.  He then picked up points in each of the three road games in La Ronge, Flin Flon, and Melfort over the weekend, boosting his overall season numbers to 11-goals and 15-assists in 18-games.  Runner-up:  Kaelan Holt, Estevan.

IBAS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:  Stephen Wack, Humboldt Broncos
1997 D Stephen Wack (St. Albert AB) had a three assist game on Tuesday at Notre Dame, including a helper on the game winner in overtime.  He also had an assist against Melville on Friday and now has a goal and six assists in 16-games on the year.  Runner-up:  Levi Kleiboer, Battlefords.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK:  Joel Gryzbowski, Battlefords North Stars
1998 G Joel Gryzbowski (Saskatoon SK) continues to foil opposition shooters in his rookie season as he blocked 16-of-18 on Tuesday as the Stars downed Kindersley.  He made 21-saves on 22-shots on Friday as the Stars beat the Notre Dame Hounds.  He’s now 7-and-1 with a miniscule 1.26-GAA and .948-SPCT.  Runner-up:  Zac Robidoux, Flin Flon.

SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Adam Dawe, Notre Dame Hounds
1999 F Adam Dawe (Gander NL) scored a goal and an assist in an overtime loss to Humboldt on Tuesday and then set up two first period goals as well as the overtime winner on Friday against Kindersley.  Dawe has 8-goals and 14-assists in 17-games this year.  Runner-up:  Brayden Dunn, La Ronge.
