SJHL CANALTA HOTELS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ben Duperreault, Notre Dame Hounds
1996 F Ben Duperreault (Wilcox SK) continued his torrid scoring pace this past week by firing 5-goals and 1-assist in 3-games played to bring his overall totals to 11-goals and 11-assists in 13-games played. His best performance was on Sunday when he collected a hat trick and four points in downing the Flin Flon Bombers. He also scored Friday in Yorkton and Thursday, at home, against the North Stars. Runner up: Zach Goberis, Estevan.
SJHL IBAS DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK: Connor Swystun, Humboldt Broncos
1996 D Connor Swystun (Saskatoon SK) had points in all three games last week, totalling a goal and four helpers, including back to back two point efforts on the weekend as he managed two assists at Nipawin and then a goal and an assist in Kindersley. Swystun also had an assist on Wednesday, at home, against Flin Flon and now has 1-goal and 11-assists in 13-games this season. Runner-up: Tyler Podgorenko, Notre Dame.
SJHL SASKTEL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Jordan Greenfield-Flemon, Notre Dame Hounds
1996 G Jordan Greenfield-Flemon (Onoway AB) has made quite an impact with the Hounds in what will be his only SJHL season. This past week, he blanked the Flin Flon Bombers and also stopped 36-of-38 against the Battlefords North Stars as he won both starts, compiling a SPCT of .973 in the process. On the year, he’s now 3-0-0-and-1 with 1.47-GAA and .953-SPCT. Runner-up: Nathan Hargrave, Weyburn.
SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Erik Gardiner, Humboldt Broncos
1999 F Erik Gardiner (Humboldt SK) continued his sharp shooting ways this past week with a two goal performance against Flin Flon on Wednesday (he also had an assist) and then scored two more on Saturday in Kindersley. Gardiner, recently sent back to his hometown Broncos after playing two games for the Regina Pats this year, has delivered 6-goals and 1-assist in just 4-games. Runner-up: Adam Dawe, Notre Dame.
