REICHENBACH TURNS PRO, THOMAS GETS SCHOLARSHIP

Former Notre Dame Hounds goaltender Ty Reichenbach has landed a professional contract with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL.

Reichenbach last played at Notre Dame in 2012-13 when he went 19-12-and-2 with a 2.89-GAA and .905-SPCT.  After one year at AIC (NCAA Div I), he resurfaced with Norwich (NCAA Div III) and ended up giving them three seasons, going 11-1-and-3 with a 1.63-GAA and .937-SPCT this past season as the school won a national title.

The SPHL is the same league former Yorkton Terrier Tayler Thompson is tearing up with 18-goals and 40-assists in 51-games with the Fayetteville Fireantz.

Meanwhile, current Flin Flon Bomber Cory Thomas has committed to the University of Vermont (NCAA Div I).

The 1998 born blueliner from St. Brieux SK had 10-points in 49-games during the regular season and the 6’5” 210 lbs defenseman was also a member of Canada West at the World Junior ‘A’ Hockey Challenge.
