La Ronge Ice Wolves Asst. Coach/Asst. GM Kyle Schneider will represent our province in October.

Schneider has been named video coach for Saskatchewan’s male under-16 team that will compete at the 2024 WHL Cup in Red Deer, AB.

“It’s an honour to be named to the Saskatchewan coaching staff at the 2024 WHL Cup,” said Schneider. “I’d like to thank Hockey Saskatchewan for giving me this opportunity.”

Schneider, a Prince Albert product, has spent the past three seasons with the La Ronge Ice Wolves behind the bench. He played three campaigns of junior hockey with the Selkirk Steelers, Melfort Mustangs, and La Ronge Ice Wolves.

“We’re thrilled to unveil the lineup for both Team Saskatchewan staffs! With a dynamic mix of new and returning coaches, these passionate individuals will proudly represent the province, with an infusion of fresh energy and tactics,” said Joel Houseman, director of operations of Sask First.

Meantime, the Ice Wolves are back in action Friday night at home when they open a weekend series with the Melville Millionaires at the Mel Hegland Uniplex.
