MILLIONAIRES BACK TO EVEN AFTER SWEEPING SHOWCASE

The Humboldt Broncos opened up the SJHL Showcase in Warman, dropping their first game of the season, 3-1 to Melville on Sunday, snapping their impressive four game winning streak to kick off the season, but they got right back in the win column Monday morning, getting past the Estevan Bruins 5-4 in a shootout.

Trevor Posch scored twice for the Broncos and added the winner in the shootout.  Daniel McKitrick and Michael Korol each added a goal and an assist while Carter Seminuk picked up the win (33/37).

Kaelen Holt of the Bruins is turning heads at the Showcase and early in the season.  He scored a pair on Monday and has now equalled last season’s total with seven goals in just five games on the season.

Matt McNeil (1g-2a) and Michael McChesney also found the net and Lynnden Pastachak, likely another popular player among scouts in attendance, added a pair of assists.
