SJHL and CANALTA HAVE STRONG PARTNERSHIP

By Mike Stackhouse

When SJHL players start competing in the playoffs for the coveted Canalta Cup in a couple of weeks, the chase for the trophy will bring out the best intensity and the most exciting games of the season.

And, while the Canalta Cup symbolizes SJHL dominance for players and many of its fans, it also symbolizes a strong partnership between the league and its greatest corporate sponsor.

To acknowledge the importance of Canalta, the SJHL championship teams will wear company patches on their jerseys during the series and the hotel chain’s logo is also on the championship hats given to the winning side at the immediate conclusion of the series.

Fans are encouraged to use #roadtocanaltacup during the 2016-17 playoff run when commenting on social media.

In addition to having the naming rights for the top prize, Canalta also sponsors the Player Of The Week award.  They’ve also stepped up and put their name beside the Coach Of The Year Award.

Each year, fans are urged to attend games during the Canalta Cup Tour when it comes to your nearest location.

In short, Canalta has done a tremendous job positioning their brand alongside the SJHL so that the two entities have become synonymous.

Canalta Hotel locations can be found in the following SJHL centres:  Melfort, Kindersley, Weyburn, Humboldt, and a second location in Weyburn listed under the Ramada name.  Fans are encouraged to support those companies who support the SJHL where possible, including Canalta Hotels.
