The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League is becoming friendlier.
In an attempt to reach out to more fans the SJHL has launched a Facebook page that will incorporate as much news and photos as possible from various sources within the league.
Included in the package will be player highlights, game-day scores and summaries and league announcements with particular emphasis on trades and commitments to post-secondary institutions.
There will also be information posted on the players of the week and month along with a collection of details pertaining to individual team events such as fundraising and community involvement.
Recently appointed league public relations/marketing manager Logan Fraser has indicated that the Facebook page will bring the league closer to the fans, players and coaches.
Communication in this era is largely focused on the internet and Fraser feels that by having a Facebook page allows the league to be more current and visible.
