SJHL MVP PETRUIC HEADING TO CARLETON

The Yorkton Terriers are pleased to announce that 20 year old forward and team captain, Chantz Petruic, has committed to play University hockey with Carleton University. Chantz joins former Terrier, Dakota Odgers, who will be heading into his fourth season with Carleton. Carleton plays in the Ontario University of Athletics Conference, and is located Ottawa, Ontario. Carleton was a powerhouse this season, finishing first in their division with a 24-3-1 record.

Chantz is from Moose Jaw, SK and spent the past three seasons with the Terriers. He was our team captain and led our team, and the entire league in scoring finishing with an outstanding 58 goals and 109 points. Petruic finishes 4th in Yorkton Terrier history for assists (133) and points (243), while finishing 5th in goals (110). Before joining the Terriers, Petruic played one season with his hometown Moose Jaw Warriors, suiting up for 55 games as a 17 year old.

On behalf of the Terriers organization, we would like to congratulate Chantz and his family on this accomplishment and wish him continued success both academically and athletically while attending Carleton University.
