SOURCE EMBROIDERY POWER RANKINGS

By Mike Stackhouse

1-BATTLEFORDS NORTH STARS (23-6-0-0)  1st last week
A great offense and a defense that is allowing two goals or less a game means you don’t lose very often.

2-FLIN FLON BOMBERS (15-7-2-2)  3rd last week
The team that beat the Stars in last year’s playoffs may already be looking at a collision course rematch with them down the road in the postseason.

3-ESTEVAN BRUINS (20-8-0-1) 2nd last week
If the goals against can get a bit lower on a regular basis, they will be in the class of the Stars.

4-NIPAWIN HAWKS (13-8-2-1)  5th last week
They are 0-4-and-1 against the three teams ahead of them in the Power Rankings.

5-HUMBOLDT BRONCOS (16-11-0-1) 6th last week
Plodding along at 3-and-7 in their last ten and have dealt with some key injuries as well.

6-WEYBURN RED WINGS (14-11-0-3) 10th last week
Much better this week as they’ve earned six of a possible eight points in their last four games.  Offense has been an issue.

7-NOTRE DAME HOUNDS (13-10-3-1) 2nd last week
Under .500 on the road has hurt them as they enter the week winless in their last two.

8-YORKTON TERRIERS (11-12-3-0)  8th last week
Goaltending matters.  Despite injuries, Terriers are 4-and-1 in games started by Nathan Hargrave.

9-MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES (12-13-1-0) 9th last week
Goaltending matters, Part 2.  Brandon Wells has carried this club despite its 4-and-8 record on home ice.

10-MELFORT MUSTANGS (10-13-1-3) 7th last week
The Gunville acquisition is sure to help the offense and this is a team to watch as they are two games above .500 in their last ten.

11-KINDERSLEY KLIPPERS (11-17-1-0) 11th last week
Klippers have to be already eyeing teams like Melville, Yorkton, and Melfort as clubs they need to beat to ensure playoff position.

12-LA RONGE ICE WOLVES (5-18-0-4) 12th last week
Deceiving record as they are 3-5-0-and-2 in their last ten.
