REGINA, SK – The evening of Dec. 10 represented the Christmas Trade Freeze across the Canadian Junior Hockey League. This means that teams can no longer complete trades until Jan. 1 in the hopes of avoiding the movement of players during the holiday season.
Six transactions were completed between Monday and Tuesday by Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Teams.

The La Ronge Ice Wolves made the most noise over two moves Monday. They acquired forwards Ryder Dembo and Brett Boucher from the Battlefords North Stars, in exchange for big veteran forward Seth Dragan. On the same day, they acquired defenceman Owen Turner and the rights to defenceman Jordan Abrametz, in exchange for forward William Forsberg.
In another big move, the Humboldt Broncos acquired 19-year-old forward and former Melville Millionaire Zach Bansley from Drayton Valley in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, in exchange for veteran forward Gabriel Fillion.
After Jan. 1, teams can complete trades up to the CJHL Trade Deadline the evening of Jan. 10.
