VIKING CUP: Huge team effort lifts SJHL to dominant win in Game 1

CAMROSE, AB – Russ Demo led the way with two goals and an assist, and multiple SJHLers had multi-point nights as Drew Kocur’s men cruised past Midland University Warriors 6-2 in the first Viking Cup game in 20 years.

Noah Asmundson, Reid Arberry, Bo Eisner, and Josh Sale added the others as Team SJHL pumped 54 shots on the Midland net.

Graham Brown made 15 stops in the win, while Karl Grafelman had the two goals for the Warriors.

Demo and Tylan Henrikson both had a team-high +3 in the win.

Team SJHL will have a quick turnaround before taking on the Czechia Selects tomorrow at 6:00 P.M. Mountain Time.
