The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce that Cameron Blair has joined our scouting team, bringing with him a wealth of experience, leadership, and a deep connection to the SJHL community.

Blair’s hockey journey spans more than a decade, beginning in the SJHL where he played from 2010–2014, appearing in 203 career games. He spent 3.5 seasons with the Flin Flon Bombers, serving as assistant captain for two years before wearing the “C” in his 20-year-old season. From there, he was dealt to the Battlefords North Stars, further solidifying himself as a respected figure in the league.

Following junior hockey, Blair joined the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, playing three seasons and capturing a Canada West Championship in 2015–2016. He was part of two teams that competed at the University Cup National Championships, medaling in Halifax in 2016 and earning a silver medal in 2017 in Fredericton.

Beyond university hockey, Blair continued to compete at a high level, skating in two Allan Cups with the Rosetown AAA Redwings and currently suiting up with the Drake Canucks. He has captained back-to-back Provincial A Championship teams in 2022 and 2023, demonstrating the leadership qualities that follow him both on and off the ice.

Blair has been part of the Broncos organization as a scout since 2019, helping identify talent and contributing to the SJHL Draft and player recruitment process. His work has played a role in drafting and acquiring players such as Matthew Perkins, Matthew Van Blaricom, Connor Miller, Carstyn Kayter, and Rylan Hue, while also assisting in coaching late last season.

Away from the rink, Blair lives in Drake with his wife Paige and daughter Sophie, works as a Territory Manager with BASF, and helps operate the family farm. His roots run deep in Saskatchewan hockey, and his commitment to the Broncos is fueled by purpose and passion.

“The reason I started was to help Luke after the tragedy,” Blair shared. “I love being part of a great organization, and ultimately want to contribute to bringing another championship to Humboldt.”

The Humboldt Broncos are excited to officially welcome Cam into an elevated scouting role for the upcoming season and look forward to the experience and insight he brings to our hockey operations team.
