ESTEVAN, SK – The Eagle Sky Estevan Bruins are thrilled to announce that Head Coach and General Manager Drew Kocur alongside Assistant Coach Tucker Neuberger have both signed contract extensions to remain behind the Bruins’ bench.
The decision secures stability and clear direction for the hockey club’s leadership group as they continue building a competitive, hard-working roster in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).
“We are incredibly pleased to lock in Drew and Tucker with these extensions,” said Bruins Team President Riley Tetreault. “Drew has shown tremendous leadership, passion, and a clear structural vision for this franchise since taking over the permanent role. Paired with Tucker’s tireless work ethic and strong coaching background, we feel this staff gives our players the best foundation to grow and succeed both on and off the ice.”
Kocur initially joined the Bruins organization in 2023. After stepping in as the interim head coach and general manager in January 2025, he was officially named the full-time Head Coach and GM in May 2025. Prior to his time in Estevan, Kocur led the Prairie Junior Hockey League’s (PJHL) Pilot Butte Storm to a provincial championship and earned Coach of the Year honours.
Neuberger joined the Bruins’ coaching staff in June 2025. The Weyburn native brought valuable experience to the southeast region after a successful two-year head coaching stint with Fort Knox in the PJHL, as well as a prior playing and coaching tenure in the SJHL.
With the leadership core locked in at Affinity Place, the Bruins remain focused on pushing toward the top tier of the league standings and bringing an exciting brand of hockey to Estevan’s dedicated fan base.
Please join us in congratulating Drew and Tucker on their extensions!
