REGINA, SK – Before puck drop on 26/27, the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s last view of Luke Brunen was one of dejection. Does it ever look different now.
Brunen stopped all 41 shots he faced Sunday as the Warman Wolverines won their fourth straight by blanking the Battlefords North Stars 4-0.
Riley Rich-Holden, the longest active-serving member of the Notre Dame/Warman organization, scored twice and added a helper to lead the Wolverines offensively.
Nathan Claydon made 28 saves in the loss.
It was Battlefords’ second game in under 24 hours after they played Saturday night at home.
Kanyan Unger also added a pair of helpers for the Wolverines.
