The Humboldt Broncos are proud to announce that Connor Miller has announced his commitment to NCAA Div. I Augustana University and will become a Viking following his Humboldt Broncos career.
Miller, a 2022 2nd round draft pick for the Humboldt Broncos (18th overall), is currently finishing his second season with the Moose Jaw Warriors U18 AAA program. In 42 games, the Lipton, SK native is 7th in league scoring with 55 points (24 goals, 31 assists).
In addition to his play with the Warriors, Miler has been called up for 4 games with the Broncos this season, scoring his first career SJHL goal against the Weyburn Red Wings on November 4th , 2022.
Following completion of the U18 AAA season, Miller will join the Broncos as a full-time member for the playoffs. “We are excited to see Connor land this commitment with Augustana. Trevor Weisgerber (Moose Jaw Head Coach) has done an excellent job in Moose Jaw, and we’re looking forward to continuing his development in Humboldt,” said Broncos’ Head Coach and GM, Scott Barney.
“Talking with Augustana’s coaching staff, they are thrilled about Connor becoming a full time Humboldt Bronco and continuing his development in our program. Connor is a power forward who is already really strong for his age. That strength matched with his skill has made him into an elite goal scorer who takes pucks hard to the net or uses his heavy shot to create offense. He was one of our best players in the four games we called him up for. We look forward to many games with Connor in our lineup as a Future Bronco.” Barney added.
Augustana has just elevated its program to NCAA Div. I level and will compete in its inaugural season at that level next season.
