REGINA, SK – Noah Kraus made 30 stops, and Keil Schmalz led the way offensively with a goal and an assist as the Melville Millionaires outlasted the Flin Flon Bombers 4-2 Tuesday.

The Bombers outshot the Mils 12-4 in the first period, but Kraus allowed only one goal, and the Moneymen tied it after Schmalz’s power-play marker.

Wesley Olson’s second-period goal at the 16:35 mark held up as the winner after the teams traded goals in just over a minute.

Three of Kraus’ four games have yielded save percentages of .938-plus, and Melville has won all three.

Elsewhere in Humboldt, the Broncos parlayed a thunderous second period and Kacey Russell Jr.’s first career SJHL goal into a 5-2 victory over the Kindersley Klippers.

Brady Holtvogt stopped 23 shots in his return from the Western Hockey League, while Mattias Radke was stellar in the Kindersley net, making 35 saves in defeat.

Dylan McCann and Pryce Thiessen of Kindersley both added multi-point nights in the loss.
