SGEU MVP of the Month: Kian Bell, Battlefords North Stars

The Battlefords North Stars have been soaring since the return of Kian Bell to their line-up. In his first full month back with the Stars, Bell found the back of the net 11 times and added 16 assists for 27 points in just 11 games played. The reigning SJHL MVP and Player of the Year is now second in SJHL scoring with 37 points in 14 games.

Bourgault Forward of the Month: Justin Lies, Flin Flon Bombers

Leading the way in November in goals scored was Flin Flon Bombers Captain Justin Lies. In just 8 games played during the month, the 20-year-old Lies found the back of the net 12 times. He also added 9 assists as the Bombers continue to be the top team in the CJHL (according to the CJHL Top 20). The Flin Flon product currently leads the SJHL in goals with 21 and in points with 41.

SuperU Defenceman of the Month: Alex Izyk, Battlefords North Stars

Climbing the scoring ranks among SJHL defenceman during the month of November was Alex Izyk of the Battlefords North Stars. The 20 year-old defenceman out of Blackie, Alberta capped off an impressive month with a hat-trick against the Notre Dame Hounds on Wednesday, November 29th. Izyk finished the month with 5 goals and 11 assists in 12 games played. He is currently tied for 5th in SJHL scoring among blue-liners.

DirectWest Rookie of the Month: Keenan Ingram, Kindersley Klippers

The number one line of the Kindersley Klippers continues to roll and rookie Keenan Ingram had a big month of November. In 11 games played during the month, Ingram found the back of the net 10 times and added 8 helpers as the Klippers continue to battle for positioning above the playoff line. The pride of Calgary, Alberta heads into December leading the SJHL in rookie scoring with 15 goals and 16 assists.

Sasktel Goalie of the Month: Harmon Laser-Hume, Flin Flon Bombers

The SJHL leader in goals against average and save percentage had another phenomenal month for the Flin Flon Bombers. Harmon Laser-Hume went a perfect 7-0-0-0 during the month of November, allowing just 12 goals on 220 shots. This adds up to a 1.74 GAA this past month for the 20-year-old from Creston, BC. He also had a .942 save percentage.

Saskatchewan Player of the Month: Spencer Bell, Humboldt Broncos (from Warman, Sask)

One of the tightest races for an award this month was for Saskatchewan Player of the Month. However, on the final day of November, Spencer Bell of the Humboldt Broncos pushed himself passed the competition and earned the award as he netted a hat-trick in the Broncos’ 6-2 win over the Ice Wolves Thursday. Bell is well above a point per game this season with the Broncos and has turned into one of their biggest threats to score as they sit in 3rd in the SJHL.
