SGEU MVP of the Week: Kian Bell, Battlefords North Stars

It was a perfect week for the Battlefords North Stars as they earned a trio of victories. Leading the way was last year’s SJHL Player and MVP of the Year Kian Bell. The 20-year-old compiled a total of 9 points in three games, including a five point night in a 5-2 win over the Kindersley Klippers Saturday night at home. In 19 games played this year, Bell has 23 goals and 28 assists and is now tied for first in the entire SJHL in points with 51.

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Bradley Blake, Battlefords North Stars

Bradley Blake of the Battlefords North Stars is having a great final season of Junior with the North Stars. This past week he had 6 points total and as a result, he passed his career high for points in a season of 28. His best game of the week came on Tuesday when Blake set up three goals in the Stars 7-4 win over the Notre Dame Hounds. Blake is up to 32 points in 32 games and is tied for 17th in league scoring.

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Liam McInnis, Nipawin Hawks

For the 2nd week in a row, Liam McInnis has claimed SuperU Defenceman of the Week. The 20-year-old blue-liner registered five helpers in two games over the weekend as the Hawks split their pair of games with the Melfort Mustangs. McInnis is now up to 23 points in 19 games this season and is primed to have a big 2nd half of the season with his new team. The Regina product is currently 10th in league scoring among Defenceman.

DirectWest Rookie of the Week: Rylan Williams, Battlefords North Stars

Another North Star who had a big week was rookie Rylan Williams. The pride of Kyle, Saskatchewan found the back of the net three times and added a pair of assists as the Stars moved into a tie for 2nd in the SJHL standings with three wins this week. Williams has provided some great depth scoring for the Stars this year as the 18-year-old sits with 13 goals and 15 assists on the season which is 3rd among rookies.

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Cody Jaman, Kindersley Klippers

It was a busy week in between the pipes for Klippers netminder Cody Jaman. The 19-year-old made a pair of stars and came in relief for another. The week started with an impressive shutout over the Notre Dame Hounds where Jaman made 35 saves in a 5-0 win. In total this week, Jaman made 72 stops.

Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Spencer Bell, Humboldt Broncos (from Warman, Sask)

Spencer Bell has been a mainstay when it comes to Saskatchewan Player of the Week so far in the 23/24 season. Bell had a great weekend with the Broncos where he found the back of the net three times and added a pair of assists in two games played. With the strong week, Bell has moved up to 5th in SJHL scoring with 20 goals and 24 assists.
