SGEU MVP of the Week: Keenan Ingram, Yorkton Terriers

Yorkton’s big-shot winger has three multi-point games in four ranging from Dec. 30, highlighted by a four-goal, five-point effort on Jan. 3 vs. Estevan. When the Terriers team offence is ticking, they are as scary as any group in the league, and Ingram is right in the middle of it.
Weekly Stats: 4 GP, 6 G, 5 A, 11 PTS

Bourgault Forward of the Week: Leighton Carruthers, Flin Flon Bombers

The former QMJHL 3rd overall pick has taken some time to find his groove offensively in the SJHL, but he found it in a big way with three games in a row against La Ronge. Jan. 4th’s six-point game was the highlight of his year so far, but the expectation is that more like it is to come from this mega-talent this year.
Weekly Stats: 2 GP, 2 G, 4 A, 6 PTS

SuperU Defenceman of the Week: Luke Lepper, Flin Flon Bombers

It’s hard to imagine a better skater from the back end in the SJHL than Lepper, and he parlayed his considerable tools into four and three-point outings over the last couple of weeks. Flin Flon is still unbeaten in regulation in 15, and Lepper’s big minutes have much to do with it.
Weekly Stats: 2 GP, 1 G, 3 A, 4 PTS

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Angelo Zol, Weyburn Red Wings

It’s Angelo Zol’s net in Weyburn now, with Dazza Mitchell off to Humboldt. To his enormous credit, the talented 2005-born Zol didn’t miss a beat given the trade news, shutting out Estevan in Estevan and then mostly shutting down the Yorkton Terriers the next night.
Weekly Stats: 2 starts, 2-0-0-0 record, .946 SV%, 1.00 GAA, 1 SO

IKS Media Rookie of the Week: Bryce Dahl, Yorkton Terriers

As much as Yorkton’s forwards get credit for their League No. 1 power play, Dahl has been a secret weapon at the back end for the Terriers. He leads all 18-and-under rookies in the league with 10 power-play assists and has been as consistently productive as any Dman in the league the last month and a half.
Weekly Stats: 4 GP, 0 G, 4 A, 4 PTS

Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Dustin Renas, Yorkton Terriers (from Saskatoon, Sask)

The speedy Renas has been a real problem for defences all year. Lately, his line with Carter Briltz and Keenan Ingram has been almost unstoppable. His week was highlighted by a four-point effort at home on Jan. 3 vs. Estevan.
Weekly Stats: 4 GP, 2 G, 6 A, 8 PTS
