PLAYERS OF THE WEEK (Dec 4)

CANALTA HOTELS SJHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:  MacGregor Sinclair, Battlefords North Stars
1998 F MacGregor Sinclair (Irma AB) lit up the La Ronge Ice Wolves for four goals and three assists on Tuesday as part of a 10-2 win.  He had an assist on Friday at Estevan and another goal on Saturday at Notre Dame to close out the week.  He has 21-goals and 21-assists in 25-games this season.  Runner-up:  Brandan Arnold, Nipawin.

IBAS SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE WEEK:  Josh McDougall, Nipawin Hawks
1998 D Josh McDougall (Prince Albert SK) scored two goals and three assists in two games played last week, but he really sparked his club on Friday in Melfort as he scored two third period goals to force overtime and then set up the winning goal in the extra session.  McDougall now has 8-goals and 25-assists in 26-games played and is making a strong case to be the league’s top defenseman this year.  Runner-up:  Mike Eskra, Weyburn.

SASKTEL SJHL GOALIE OF THE WEEK:  Jacob Standen, Notre Dame Hounds
1997 G Jacob Standen (High River AB) won both of his starts this past week, stopping 48/51 shots in wins over Melville on Tuesday and Battlefords on Saturday.  Standen has beaten the North Stars two of out of three starts since November 15th.  For the season, he has a 12-5-and-3 record to go with a 2.10-GAA and .926-SPCT.  Runner-up:  Billy Girard, Kindersley.

MYSASK 411 SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK:  Tim Gould, Notre Dame Hounds
2000 D Tim Gould (Moncton NB) scored three times and finished with four points in two games played last week.  Gould scored twice in Wednesday’s 3-2 decision over the Melville Millionaires and he also scored a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over the Mils one night earlier.  For the season, he has 6-goals and 13-assists in 25-games.  Runner-up:  Cade Kowalski, Weyburn.
