The La Ronge Ice Wolves picked up a pair of wins this weekend on the road in Kindersley and leading the way was Parker Layton. The 3rd year Ice Wolves Defenceman scored his 7th goal of the season Friday night and added an assist in the Wolves comeback win. He would then add a pair of assists on Saturday. Layton is now tied for 5th in SJHL scoring among Defenceman with 7 goals and 14 assists.

DirectWest Rookie of the Week: DJ Freigang, Notre Dame Hounds
In his rookie season with the Notre Dame Hounds, DJ Freigang got off to a bit of a slow start. However, as of late, he has been one of the hottest skaters for the Hounds. Freigang has scored in his last four games and this included the Hounds 5-4 win over the Weyburn Red Wings Friday in Radville.

Sasktel Goalie of the Week: Harmon Laser-Hume, Flin Flon Bombers
The Flin Flon Bombers earned five out of a possible six points over the weekend in the Parkland region and in net for both of their victories was Harmon Laser-Hume, who has won Sasktel Goalie of the week for the 2nd week in a row. In two games played this weekend he allowed just two goals and made 42 saves. The 20-year-old Creston, B.C product leads the SJHL in both Goals Against Average and Save Percentage.

Saskatchewan Player of the Week: Spencer Bell, Humboldt Broncos (from Warman, Sask)
Warman Saskatchewan continues to produce impactful SJHL players and Spencer Bell of the Humboldt Broncos had an outstanding week. The 20-year-old had a hat-trick and two assists in the Broncos 8-6 win on the road in Weyburn Wednesday. He would then add three more assists in the weekend home and home with Melfort. Bell is now up to 10 goals and 18 assists on the season.
