SGEU MVP OF THE WEEK: Noah Wills, Melville Millionaires

The Noah Wills coming out party has officially hit the stage. The 2003 born rookie paced all SJHL’ers this past week, recording 7 points in 4 games. Meanwhile, his line consisting of himself, Nicolas Samson, and Zach Cain helped pave the way to the Millionaires collecting 6 out of a possible 8 points.
Expect that line to be heavily leaned on as Melville tries to claw their way back into the playoff picture.

 RBC FORWARD OF THE WEEK: Steven Kesslering, Battlefords North Stars

Although the North Stars win streak was snapped on Saturday. They went on a tough southern swing defeating the Notre Dame Hounds and the Estevan Bruins to extend their wining ways to a season best seven games in a row, before eventually losing to the Weyburn Red Wings. Steve Kesslering scored three goals throughout that stretch, improving his stats to 25 pts (12g-13a) in 26 games this season.

MAYFAIR DIAGNOSTICS SJHL DEFENCEMAN OF THE WEEK: Parker Jasper, Yorkton Terriers

Parker Jasper led all SJHL defensemen this past week with four points throughout his three games. Games of which the Yorkton Terriers picked up two wins. After suffering a 6-1 loss at the hands of the Estevan Bruins, which where Jasper added an assist, the 2003 born blueliner added three more helpers as the Terriers bounced back to beat the Ice Wolves 6-2. Jasper was then part of the stingy defence that prevented the Nipawin Hawks from scoring in a 1-0 shootout win on Saturday.

 SASKTEL SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK: Michael Harroch, Battlefords North Stars

Harroch secured his second Goalie of the Week award in the past three weeks, He has been a revelation in net for the North Stars since being acquired from the BCHL.
This week, he was perfect again, picking up both wins in his two starts, while posting a .931 save percentage. The 20-year-old now leads all SJHL goalies with a .937 save percentage this year and has an 8-1-0-1 record with the Stars.

DIRECTWEST SJHL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK: Cole Duperreault, Flin Flon Bombers

The Flin Flon Bombers had two playoff like matchups between the Humboldt Broncos over the weekend, and Duperreault was all over the scoresheet. Prior to that, the Bombers diffused the Nipawin Hawks 6-1 earlier in the week, with Duperreault securing an assist. He then continued his point streak adding another helper in the Bombers 3-2 win over the Broncos on Friday, before capping it off with a goal and an assist on Saturday.
