Reitmeier Commits To Michigan Tech

1996 BORN GREYSON REITMEIER JOINS FORMER TEAMMATE IN WITH THE HUSKIES.

The Flin Flon Bombers are very excited to announce that 1996 born Greyson Reitmeier (Naskup, BC) has committed to the Michigan Tech Huskies NCAA Division I men’s ice hockey program for the 2017-18 season.

“Greyson is a great hockey player and person, and we couldn’t be happier for him,” said Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan.  “He has had a lot of interest this season from Div I programs, I think he’s going to a great school.”

Reitmeier sits tied for second in the SJHL in points this season with 46 (16g, 30a) in 37 games.

Originally acquired from the Melville Millionaires prior to the 2015-16 season, Reitmeier had 26 points (13g, 13a) in 58 last year with the Bombers and another 9 points (3g, 6a) in 16 playoff games helping the club to their first SJHL final in over 20 years.

“We think that Greyson is a late bloomer and feel he’s has huge potential to grow at such a great program at Michigan Tech,” added Reagan.

Overall the 6’3, 190 pounder has 99 points (37g, 62a) in 189 junior A games.

Reitmeier will join his former teammate Alex Smith (Edmonton, AB) at Michigan Tech were the freshman is having an excellent first year in the NCAA.

The Huskies play in the WCHA and sit second in the conference with a 13-8-3 record.

“This is our second Division I scholorship this season, and we feel that we have a few more guys that will commit by the end of the year,” commented Reagan.
