REGINA, SK – Finlay Klippenstein scored twice within four minutes in the third period Saturday, and the Battlefords North Stars rallied to defeat the Yorkton Terriers 3-1 in Game 2 and even their Round 2 series at one.
Klippenstein has two goals and eight points over his current three-game playoff point streak.
Josh Knittig sealed the contest with an empty-netter, has scored in his last three games, and has 15 points in his current league-high seven-game point streak. He leads the 2026 SJHL Playoffs, presented by UPL, in scoring.
Spencer Michnik made a terrific 26 stops in the win.
Jye Zawatsky opened the scoring for the Terriers at the 9:41 mark of the opening frame for his second goal in as many games in the series.
Callum Creid stopped 26 shots in defeat.
The Flin Flon Bombers, fresh off their first regulation home loss of the season in Game 1, responded with a vengeance in Game 2.
Connor Miller led the way with two goals and an assist, and four Bombers had multi-point games as they upended the Weyburn Red Wings 6-2, and evened their series at one game apiece.
Miller has five goals in his last five playoff games.
Callas Pierce responded with a goal and an assist in the loss.
Charlie Tritt made 22 saves in the Flin Flon net.
