REGINA, SK – Charlie Tritt made 34 saves for his league-leading fifth shutout of the season and the Flin Flon Bombers blanked the Battlefords North Stars 4-0 Saturday.
Reid Arberry led the way offensively with two goals and an assist as the Bombers celebrated their clinching of the No. 1 seed from Friday with their 25th win out of 26 home games this season.
Kaeden Serpa made 37 stops in defeat.
In Melville, the Millionaires sewed up their playoff spot as captain Boston Harkness scored 17 seconds into overtime to seal a 3-2 win vs. the Estevan Bruins.
Harkness became the sixth SJHL defenceman to hit double digits in goals this season.
Seven of the eight playoff spots are now locked up, though only the first seed is set in stone.
