THORNHILL, ONT – Keil Schmalz whipped a power play goal home through a screen from the top of the circle to the right of Callum Creig at 9:10 of the third period, and it held up as the winner as the Melville Millionaires outlasted the Yorkton Terriers 4-2 in Game 4 Friday.
The victory in front of a packed house of 1,809 at the CN Community Centre in Melville evened the Highway 10 rivalry playoff series two.
As the two clubs played the final regular-season game of the year against each other, it was the sixth game in a row of a possible nine between the rivals.
Four different Mils found the back of the net on the night, and Matt Spencer-Dahl made 29 stops in the win.
Yorkton’s Cash Lanigan was the only player in the game to record a multi-point night.
Creig made 25 saves in the loss.
