SGEU MVP of the Month: Jacob Vockler, Flin Flon Bombers
The Flin Flon Bombers enter the month of November as the top team in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and the top team in the CJHL according to the CJHL Top 20 rankings. A big reason why has been the outstanding play of 20-year-old forward Jacob Vockler. So far this season, the Sioux Falls, South Dakota product has found the back of the net 12 times in 14 games and has 11 assists. He is currently tied for the league lead in goals and one point behind his teammate Alexi Sylvestre for the league lead in points.

Bourgault Forward of the Month: Alexi Sylvestre, Flin Flon Bombers
Speaking of Alexi Sylvestre, he is the first recipient of the Bourgault Forward of the Month. Similar to Vockler, Sylvestre has had an unbelievable start to the 23/24 campaign, finding the back of the net 9 times and adding 15 assists. In 15 games played this year, the 19-year-old has more than half of the points he did in his rookie season (41). Sylvestre is currently 2nd in the league in assists and tied for 4th in goals.

SuperU Defenceman of the Month: Noah Houle, Flin Flon Bombers
Rounding out the monthly awards for the Flin Flon Bombers is Defenceman Noah Houle. At one point Houle was leading the entire SJHL in points but has since been overtaken by his two teammates (Sylvestre & Vockler). Houle has already surpassed his point total from last season (11) in just over a month and currently leads the league among Defenceman in points with 3 goals and 19 assists.

DirectWest Rookie of the Month: Connor Thue, Humboldt Broncos
Connor Thue of the Humboldt Broncos has taken the league by storm in his first month and a bit in the league. The 19-year-old Defenceman has already won a plethora of weekly awards and is playing big minutes for the Broncos. In just 13 games played this year, Thue has found the back of the net four times and has added a whopping 14 assists. He is currently 1st among Rookies in scoring, 2nd in scoring among Defenceman, and is tied for 7th in the entire league.

Sasktel Goalie of the Month: Benjamin Motew, Humboldt Broncos
19-year-old Benjamin Motew has been nothing but superb for the Humboldt Broncos early on this season. The Broncos have allowed the least amount of goals in the SJHL so far in this young season and Motew is a big reason why. He is currently undefeated in regulation, has the best Goals Against Average in the league (1.78) and is ranked 4th among save percentage.

Saskatchewan Player of the Month: Mason Bueckert, La Ronge Ice Wolves (from Saskatoon, Sask)
The La Ronge Ice Wolves currently sit in the 8th and final playoff spot in the SJHL and while the team has had their ups and downs this season, one thing they haven’t struggled with has been putting the puck in the back of the net. Leading the charge for the Wolves has been Mason Bueckert. The Saskatoon product has found the back of the net 7 times this season and has added 14 assists. The 19-year-old has already surpassed his total number of points from his rookie season last year of 18.
