It was a busy start to the weekend Friday in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League as 10 of the league’s 12 teams took to the ice.
Leading the charge offensively Friday night was last year’s MVP and Player of the Year Kian Bell who found the back of the net four times in Battlefords 5-3 win over the Estevan Bruins.

The Melfort Mustangs got back in the win column Friday night at home with a 4-1 win over the Yorkton Terriers. David Rioux and Ryan Duguay each had a goal and assist, and James Venne made 15 stops in the victory. Cade Kennedy was the lone goal scorer for the Terriers. These two teams will meet again Saturday night in Kamsack.
Saturday will see another busy night across the league with another five games on the docket.
