BRUINS EDGE TERRIERS TUESDAY

Keenan Rancier stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced as the Estevan Bruins went on the road and picked up a 3-2 victory over their Viterra Division foes in Yorkton on Tuesday.

The Bruins (4-5-1-1) sandwiched three unanswered goals between a pair of Terrier markers, as Troy Hamilton (1g-1a) evened the game in the first period, and Isaiah Thomas and Brady Nicholas provided early second period goals.

Jordan Guiney scored both goals for the Terriers (5-8-0-0), his first two in the SJHL, to go along with 12-assists, for 14-points in 13-games. Philippe Bond made 40/43 saves for Yorkton.

The Bruins, Terriers, and Weyburn are in a three-way tie for second place in the Viterra Division, two points back of Melville as teams near the quarter-pole of the season. The three teams are tied for the 8th and final playoff spot in the overall standings.
