REGINA, SK – William Leonard scored the tie-breaker with 8:48 remaining in regulation, and the Yorkton Terriers won their third straight game with a 4-3 victory over the Nipawin Hawks Sunday.
It was Leonard’s 27th of the year, and his league-second-best fifth game-winner.
Cash Lanigan added two helpers in the win, while Nipawin’s Mason Karakochuk was the game-high scorer with two goals and an assist in defeat.
The win moved Yorkton even with the Hawks at 52 points, but ahead of them in fourth place on win percentage.
