MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES 2018-19 CAPSULE

MELVILLE MILLIONAIRES

KEY RETURNEES

1998 G Colby Entz (Churchbridge SK)

1998 F Damian Bentz (Punnichy SK)

1998 F Dayton Heino (Minnedosa SK)

1998 F Shane Sherban (Lanigan SK)

1998 D Eric Soar (Moose Jaw SK)

1999 D Daniel Liberty (Edmonton AB)

1998 F Cory Schillo (Kasson MN USA)

1998 F Montana Streit (Rochester MN USA)

The Mils have some higher end pieces to work with in Entz as a goalie, Soar on defense, and Bentz up front.  The trade addition of Ryan Heino should bolster the ranks up front as well. Head coach Devin Windle will be looking for the team to take another step forward after last year’s impressive finish and gutsy playoff effort in the Survivor Series.  Getting Logan Foster back from Swift Current WHL would be a shot in the arm.

OTHER PLAYERS TO WATCH

1999 F Ryan Heino (Minnedosa MB) Younger brother of Dayton, picked-up in the Isaac Embree trade, scored 7-goals and 20-assists in 51-games with Neepawa MJHL.

2000 D Tyler Pryhitka (Melville SK) A big and strong, physical player will shoot a ton.  14-1-2-3 with Regina AAA.

2000 D Peyton Jerome (Regina SK) Smart defenseman, sees the ice well, makes a good pass, plays physical.  44-3-11-14 with Regina AAA.

2000 F Luke Nkwama (Melville SK) Has great speed and isn’t afraid of the corners.  Projects as a player with offensive potential after his 15-goal, 12-assist season in 43-games with Prince Albert AAA.

1999 F Mason McIntosh (Los Angeles CA USA) Is a skilled winger with a touch around the net as evidenced by his 17-goals and 24-assists in 36-games with Anaheim Jr Ducks.

2000 F Ethan Schmor (Langley BC) had 13-goals and 23-assists in 46-games with Princeton Posse KIJHL, figures to be a good fit in any slot in the line-up and has a good stick in front of the net.
