For the second episode of our 2025-26 SJHL RBC Community Ambassadors, we highlight Eric Marks of the Battlefords North Stars.
RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to the communities where they play. Each Ambassador is celebrated at an RBC Game Night and honoured with an RBC donation to a school in their local community.
SJHL fans will be able to vote online for the RBC Community Ambassador of their choice to be honoured as the recipient of the RBC Community Award at the end of the SJHL regular season. This additional honour is accompanied by a further donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.
Drew’s $1,000 donation from RBC will go to Bready Elementary School in North Battleford, SK.
According to the North Stars, the Cayley, AB native:
demonstrates leadership through hard work, resilience, and the composed way he carries himself in every environment. On the ice, he leads by example—showing consistent effort in practices and games, maintaining calm under pressure, and displaying an intuitive understanding of situations as they unfold. His ability to reset quickly, stay focused, and continue contributing with purpose reflects a level of maturity that elevates those around him.
Off the ice, Eric’s leadership is shaped by his outgoing nature, emotional awareness, and genuine respect for others.
