REGINA, SK – A record-setting year was expected for Yorkton Terriers goaltender Callum Creig, and he has not disappointed.

Creig, 20, of Calgary, AB, made 20 saves yesterday in his team’s 7-2 victory over the Battlefords North Stars.

It was the 50th regular-season win of his Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League and Terriers career, tying him with Mario Lacasse for sixth on Yorkton’s all-time goaltender wins list.

Creig leads the SJHL in wins, followed by Nipawin’s Gage Roberts, who sits at 35 regular-season victories.

Creig is now only one win behind Christian Dutil for fifth on the Terriers’ list, and 20 behind all-time leader Victor Laurin, who backstopped the dogs in the early 1980s.

The SJHL congratulates Callum on his accomplishment.
