FLIN FLON, MB – For the first time since the Bombers returned to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in 1984, Flin Flon has a 2-0 lead in the league final.

Charlie Tritt turned away all 19 shots he faced, and Reid Arberry’s goal off a Pierce Yakimchuk rebound with 43 seconds remaining in the first period held up as the winner as the Bombers downed the Yorkton Terriers 3-0 in Game 2 Saturday.

With the win, Flin Flon is now 34-1-1 at the Whitney Forum in regular-season and postseason games combined.

Maverick Deslisle’s one-timer from the slot in the second gave the Bombers a little room, and then Connor Miller’s league-leading ninth goal of the playoffs from in tight at the 4:34 mark of the final frame stretched it even further.

Flin Flon’s stifling team defence did the rest in front of a stout Tritt.

Callum Creig made 34 stops in the loss, the first shutout defeat the Terriers have suffered since they fell 11-0 to the Bombers on Oct. 24, 2025.

Flin Flon went 1-for-4 on the power play and has given up a total of three goals against in its last three post-season contests.
