RBC Community Ambassador: Pierce Yakimchuk of the Flin Flon Bombers

For the fifth episode of our 2025-26 SJHL RBC Community Ambassadors, we highlight Pierce Yakimchuk of the Flin Flon Bombers.

RBC Community Ambassadors are recognized for making a difference and giving back to the communities where they play. Each Ambassador is celebrated at an RBC Game Night and honoured with an RBC donation to a school in their local community.

SJHL fans will be able to vote online for the RBC Community Ambassador of their choice to be honoured as the recipient of the RBC Community Award at the end of the SJHL regular season. This additional honour is accompanied by a further donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their local community.

Pierce’s $1,000 donation from RBC will go to École McIsaac in Flin Flon, MB.

According to the Bombers, the St. Albert, AB native:

commitments showcase his natural leadership skills, his work ethic, his eagerness to assist others and give back to the game and community he loves. Pierce is self-driven to be a positive role model in the community, which inspires other players on our team to participate in community events. Pierce is a player all young Bombers fans can look up to and aspire to become.

Yakimchuk has been credited with:

Volunteering weekly to aid young children in Flin Flon’s Learn to Skate program. He is a great role model for the kids to look up to and puts a lot of time and energy into making sure the children enjoy the process of learning to skate. Pierce is also active as a referee in the community for recreational hockey.
